Not currently playing tf2, but I saw people on reddit complaining about the item server being down for extended periods of time, I just want to see the extent of the issue.

Its not down completely, but the servers (at least community ones) can鈥檛 talk to it.
uh some people seem to be fine but most aren鈥檛, was playing some highlander last night with stock soldier, was mostly annoying since the other team got to use some of the more annoying items like natasha
We quickly checked on our side, the two times we鈥檝e opened the game recently, both local server and a community server had the items server working. So I鈥檓 not sure if it鈥檚 a Casual specific issue or not.

It鈥檚 only affecting some users on some servers at some times of the day. I鈥檝e noticed it since the update on the 8th or 9th. Seemingly completely arbitrary.
They鈥檝e been down for a while. Last time I was in ugc servers (yesterday), they were still down.

I has happened, my dream of a vanilla TF2 sever came true for so little time, yet it gave me hope of popularizing the idea of such a server. (it was fun and I was advocating for an item-less community server for a while)
