| 1 year ago | mod | Removed Comment AI art is art theft. Artists are a branch of intellectuals. Supporting AI art theft is fundamentally "odd" and something that needs to be reflected on. Remember how the Nazis stole all the beautiful art for themselves from the minorities they targeted?
This is like that 2.0. I'm not afraid to compare anything in this stupid year to 1940s Nazi Germany because we are basically witnessing an attempt to recreate that Nazi Germany, just in more modern ways. I'm anti-fascist and so are you. I'm trying not to be stupid and just angrily make letters on the keyboard. I actually want someone in these stupid AI art theft communities to give it some thought and reflect. I don't see you as a bad person but maybe you just don't understand yet and I hope you do eventually. Sometimes it takes a few years before people see the problem in something they initially supported.

I look at you tech geniuses and am amazed and wouldn't think to ask AI to replace you to do any of the tech chicanery (that I barely understand and am trying to learn currently) you probably went to school for years to master. I wish the same could be done for artists. AI communities are a direct slap in the face to the art community. It may take time for this to register but I can wait. Took a few years for people to see that other awful world events were awful too. You'll get there.
Where does this come from? Did someone tell you you couldn't draw? You can if you want to, you know, and the art community is totally supportive. We love and WANT more living breathing human artists in the community and we don't care about skill level. It's just a fun thing to do. Shit look at Happiness and Cyanide or Hyperbole Comics.
