Just played with their free version the other day and was pretty impressed

honestly I think stuff like this shouldnt be disregarded as powerful selling points for the fediverse. like you will ALWAYS be able to use this place with any piece of technology that has some connection to something (doesn’t even have to be to the internet) where as you can’t use instagram on an old phone like at all lol

but if I am using Lemmy and someone says follow me on the fediverse, I have to say I can’t because there isn’t that ability. I think that’s one of the main differences that the word Threadiverse differentiates

There have been monthly meetings about this issue and surrounding ones that are open to the public if you really want to know more. There are years worth of discussions about it too but they are very spread around
