I kind of feel like social media already does put toxic people together and that has lead them to compete on how toxic they can be. I don’t think forcing gross people into communities with a bunch of people who think the same way helps at all. Being seperated from that and seeing more perspectives seems better.

Are they asking if they know how to hide a body?
Are you alright? I can’t imagine it’s easy to live like that.
The aim is to actually keep it standing as long as you can and rebuild on the top though
As someone that used to use it, I feel like it lost it’s utility massively after learning hiragana and katakana. After that it’s much better to use things with more kanji if you actually want to be able to read. I did see they tried to add kanji though, but don’t know if it’s enough.
It happens to me too, but you can tell for some reason the formatting messes with the proper link. As your screenshot shows there is a random 2 after www in one of the links that isn’t written out in the original.
I have a feeling they didn’t exactly have the quality of ingredients we had now too. Also I’m sure it had to have less water to keep longer, thus being harder in the first place.
Canada doesn’t know what it’s missing. We have our problems too though, we followed everyone else and took lead out of gasoline, it just doesn’t taste the same anymore…
Tap for spoiler
Keep it up Canada
sh__@lemmy.worldto LinkedinLunatics@sh.itjust.works•Cybersecurity Founder and CEO blasts her husband on LinkedIn for not doing anything in 2024.321·1 year agoYeah she doesn’t speak bad about him for it. She does pose the question at the end to others if it would change their views of people they knew if they didn’t want those types of accomplishments though. She doesn’t answer if it does for herself necessarily, so there is not really any clear answer. It’s pointless to analyse.
sh__@lemmy.worldto Videos@lemmy.world•guys .002 seconds after learning about the "male loneliness epidemic"3·1 year agoI kind of wish people would just get along. I’ve seen men and women say bad things, but it’s not because they are men and women. Bad people are bad people, hurt people are hurt people. For actually solving issues that seem to effect one group I can see the need to look for differences. I just wish people would stop needed an enemy. For society to move on in this changing world, with new struggles, we need to work together. Obviously this video is just making fun of bad people, but it made me think of all the hate in general I’ve seen from those people and others.

That’s what happens when they get power I guess rather than just talk. I’ve been doing my best to avoid it as well though, it also makes me feel so negative. Good luck to you in this crazy world.
I’ve been curious about the hype for this game. From what I know it seems like a card game like poker. The popularity of it must mean it’s quite engaging though.
That is definitely what they said, but they seem to mislabel feminism in general. Since feminism isn’t about superiority to men, then who they are referring to is not representative of feminism as a whole. I guess what I’m saying is that they are actually right that anyone that thinks that one group is superior to another is wrong. They are wrong about the term they used to describe someone like that though, which I don’t label as the worst thing ever compared to actually thinking the former point. So not understanding the term feminism bad, but also their point directed at the right people isn’t wrong.
They certainly have a misunderstanding of what most people mean when they call themselves feminists. My point was it’s not as bad as it could be since they don’t demonize what feminism actually is. They think everyone is on an equal level even if they don’t have a positive opinion of everyone. I would say misusing a term is not really that bad when they could have said a lot worse like actually saying something along the lines of “women bad.” Which I didn’t really get that from their post, but perhaps I misunderstood their intentions.
Kind of a roundabout way to say that, but I guess the underlying message is people are equally terrible? That’s not really the worst opinion I’ve seen.
sh__@lemmy.worldto Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Do you use your Deck for non-gaming purposes? If so, what do you use it for?2·1 year agoI used it to watch anime for a month when I was away from my computer haha. It really made me want an oled monitor for my PC, but I realized they are quite expensive. I need to use my deck more in general to be honest.
I got really confused after you started talking about minimizing handling and human contact right after talking about people in rehab for a second lol
I know what you mean and I agree. It’s always seemed to not really make logical sense when I hear it. It isn’t quite right. Like you, I also agree with the actually message behind it though.
Personally I think we should get rid of the algorithms all together and go back to timeline with only people you follow, but I also just looked outside and there are no flying pigs.
I am not sure if the algorithm is particularly evil or just uncaring and optimizing for engagement. An algorithm that specifically tried to keep you out of bubbles would be interesting, but there is the question if people would enjoy using it enough for it to do any good or for companies to want to use it without being forced to.
I try to do my best to stay away from algorithms lately. I think being more intentional about it helps me, but perhaps that doesn’t work for some people. I think we need to figure something out though because the effects are obviously pretty bad.
