roofuskit@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What blue collar job has the largest cool factor?English31·17 hours agoI think they did their jobs well because you’re worried about keeping fellow wage earners down as opposed to lifting them up.
At no point did I say or imply all wages should be equal. But what I did say is those divisions in the laboring class you are so worried about are designed to divide and minimize working class people so that the ownership class can exploit them. And you seem to be playing your part quite nicely.
I was going to day there are multiple addons for home assistant for this problem. I think even more than you listed here, HACS is in desperate need of some kind of organization system.
roofuskit@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What blue collar job has the largest cool factor?English31·1 day agoJust keep in mind who made these distinctions to divide the working class. And how they are used to justify lower wages for certain people. These “grey collar” service industry jobs are actually pink collar jobs. So named because they are historically primarily filled by women.

Easter is the celebration of spring hence the chicks and bunnies and eggs, all symbols of new life. Christmas and the tradition of bringing evergreens into the home are the winter solstice celebration. Christians can’t steal peoples holidays and then complain that non-christians celebrate them.
Celebrating these holidays without being Christan is actually standing up against thousands of years of forced conversion tactics.

My mother has MS but it was caught extremely early due to a freak accident. She’s had very little degradation since diagnosis because it was caught early. No need for experimental treatments.
A severe underproduction and underutilization of guillotines.

The fact that they fly here for healthcare is often touted by conservatives as evidence of the quality of our healthcare system.

Cuts are always made and its more satisfying to get more content reading the book after having watched the movie/show rather than the other way around.

This is a function of capitalism.
A lot more people would do a lot more work of they could do what they enjoy and not have to worry about how they will pay their bills.
