I got it second hand to play beatsaber when I went off to uni, the only game I had bought on an old oculus rift many years ago. After setting it up and everything, logging into my account, I find out I CAN’T EVEN PLAY MY DAMN GAME. Apparently you need to buy it again to use it on another oculus product line or whatever. If I hadn’t figured out how to pirate on that thing I would have resold it years ago. Now it seems I will have to. Fuck you, meta 🖕
🕸️ Pip 🕷️@slrpnk.netto Free and Open Source Software@beehaw.org•What FOSS applications do you use for habits, tasks, and notes?6·1 year agoSo I’ve got a nextcloud instance set up, and using the notes, tasks and calendar apps. There’s a note app for mobile already, for tasks I use Tasks.org and for my calendar I use fossify calendar. The last two I sync using DAVx5. It’s pretty nice honestly, and all of these apps have widget options which is amazing and really helpful for my productivity setup. Are there better apps or software out there? Probably, but for me simplicity is best.

It’s not only to look at possible health risks in the case of average people, you include people on hormone therapy, but also cis people who naturally have wonky hormones and what that can mean for them in the context of what is studied. Usually, in medicine, you’re supposed to be thorough, and try to cover most of the population and find any discrepancies.

Mainly, ohh idk… The fact that they have had no place in nature in over tens of thousands of years? Even if we managed to create an artificial habitat and role in an ecosystem for them, they would be very vulnerable due to megafauna’s increased minimum land requirements because of their size and in danger constantly due to climate change.

Wooly mammoths went extinct for a reason. Large animals are becoming less and less evolutionary preferred. Wooly mammoths are adjusted for the cold while our globe is warming.
Can we just use our fcking resources for things that matter???
The fact that we’re in the age of tech overlords and in some places people and “medical professionals” STILL don’t know the basics of female anatomy is fcking baffling.
Virginity tests are BS. Not everyone has a hymen. Sometimes your hymen breaks doing random sex-unrelated shit. Jfc.
As an environmental science major (graduating in a few months) no and NO. I won’t touch up on the things others have commented already, but it’s ludicrous to suggest that grassroots internet spaces are more detrimental than large centralized corporate-owned platforms. Small internet efforts are a lot more conscious about how much space their activities take up, how much energy is spent to run it and how to minimize costs. Large internet platforms that are so spam-riddled and inflated with bullshit they will NEVER be more efficient. The companies that run them won’t benefit from real person and genuine content traffic. Not to mention that the data-hogging these companies are doing and the numerous background processes they’re running have a footprint of their own.
Tell this dingus to go outside… or rather inside an indie web community
