The issue seems specific to your account. There were larger issues. The issue here is that somehow you have a comment somewhere in the database that is duplicated and it’s causing mbin to error out when summarizing your account

Well, that didn’t fix the problem with viewing your profile. I will likely have to get some help from the mbin team to solve this one.

Ok, I am not yet 100% sure, but I believe this is related to another problem reported, which is that the web server that fedia runs on was running out of open files, causing incoming connections to periodically and intermittently error out, and that was happening a lot. I’ve fixed that issue, and now I will keep an eye on whether new things from that instance/magazine are coming in as they should.

I think I found the problem. nginx was running out of open files. I’ll keep an eye on it to make sure it really is fixed.

I didn’t change anything. It apparently broke for a while. The interface to ban instances is currently borked because it tries to include all instances on the same page and it just times out, so I have to work through that first.

ok. I’ve removed anubis and the site is much faster again. That is super disappointing.

😞 I found a performance issue with Anubis when using redis (as I was). I moved it to memory and it seems a lot faster. On the images, I am coming to the conclusion that backblaze is just too slow. It’s timing out on certain uploads. I am working on sorting it out. I have a minio server, but I’m needing to migrate off it due to increasing costs/declining donations else I’d move it there. I might try wasabi.

Well, I had to disable anonymous access last night because the site ground to a halt. I don’t yet know why.

Yeah, it did. I thought I fixed the issue with letsencrypt authentication, but clearly not. Moving to DNS auth should permanently fix it.

I am an extensive user of certbot. The renewal failed for fedia.io. I’m not yet 100% sure why it failed, but I think I will move it to dns based authentication.

@atro_city@fedia.io I upgraded mbin to the latest version yesterday and it seems to have some odd behaviors that I don’t have my head around yet.

I’ve been trying to get it working again. I’m getting quite frustrated with these problems.

I reenabled anonymous access and predictably the site started getting hammered immediately. I blocked a bunch of broad IP ranges that were the biggest sources but I’m sure I’ve probably blocked some legit people.
