The games have different settings so the amount of sci-fi differs, but a ton of fantasy JRPGs have âsurpriseâ sci-fi element reveals at some point. Although the same goes for western RPGs too I guess; Ultima, Wizardry and Might & Magic all have their sci-fi moments.
As for suggestions, I was going to say the Gothic or Risen games, but thereâs a fair amount of struggling involved in the beginning if youâre not into that, and the combat isnât exactly incredible, so Iâll just second Avowed which is way more fun than I expected.

It should make it harder for him to influence politics globally as well. People seem to think they have to listen when the worldâs richest man speaks, but the worldâs 20th richest one doesnât have that sway. Also seeing his net worth plummet should make other would-be emperors less inclined to throw their lot in with him.
