The only appropriate use I can think of is using it to field FAQs or KB articles in a conversational scenario. Even then, how much use would that get over a basic search index they probably added a decade ago. Ugh.
I had to use this technique for Shadows of the Empire. I want to say it was the one that let you change between the Outrider, X-Wing, and Tie Fighter.
