Finally I am buying a Meross MTS215BMA with Matter. But what I don’t know is if I will need any antena for Threads to connect to my RPi with home assistant? or maybe this thermostat works with Matter over wifi. Do you guys think if I go with smart devices connected via Matter (I have seen most Ikea smart home devices support it), do I need a Threads hub/antena? If so, any recomendation?

But I don’t have a robust/automatic back up solution, I simply copy the Immich docker container into an external ssd drive quarterly. Any suggestion for automatic backups? I am interested in that mirroring option with a different NAS in a different location, what setup is needed for that?

After installing it on Steam, when clicking on Play, it runs the EA app in the background and tries to start the game, but it doesn’t load. Any suggestion?

If not you can use some pet tracking device, like FindMyCat. It’s a small opensource device in a collar where you need to plug in a SIM card.
But if you want a device which uses low power Bluetooth / mesh connection and which doesn’t require SIM card nor GPS. Then I don’t know any alternative which is not a privacy nightmare.

I simply enable the Tailscale VPN. Maybe it has some limitations, but is the simpler way I found, and based on what I read, it is more secure than exposing a port in the router, but not sure.

I don’t know why you say that bitcoin is mostly used to scam people and to purchase illegal goods. I agree that maybe a small fraction of people is using it as a currency. But, in my case, most of the people I know who have bitcoin, just have it as a store of value. Maybe I am lucky and know a lot of those “responsible heroin users” who understand that there will be only 21 million bitcoins, so what makes it valuable is its scarcity, and as long as central banks keep printing money out of thin air, bitcoin demand will grow, at least among those who understand it.
I don’t want to say crypto in general, but Bitcoin in particular was born after the 2008 crisis, as a decentrized form of money, meaning storing value against the inflationary fiat money that the goverments can print in a centralized manner, destroying all your savings. I think any technology that empowers decentralization is positive. Same as fediverse. And in the case of bitcoin, having a decentrized money it’s a really positive tool for freedom to avoid centralizing the power in the governments. But I am curious on knowing why you say that there is no positive uses.
I use Logseq in my PC and my phone and I unse Syncthing to sync the notes accross my devices.

In Graphene Os site, it says it has 3 years of support left. Normally my phones don’t last that long. So it’s fine for me, but obviouly I would recommend going for a newer Pixel version if you find a good deal. Edit: typo.
If you buy them second hand they are not expensive, I bought recently a Pixel 6 in backmarket for 200€ and it works perfectly.
Does this EU’s Digital Markets Act also applies for Android and all the preinstalled apps by Google and the phone manufacturer?
I don’t understand the votes on that website, most people from EPP voted 👎 (against the extension) but that means they are against chat control? Or in favor? What european parties are opposing to the chat control, I want to know which parties we can trust on this matter.
