nun@lemm.eeto World News@lemmy.world•Gaza’s youngest influencer aged 11 among children killed by Israeli strikesEnglish183·11 months agoYes, Israel obviously is and always has been the aggressor in this conflict. They are also the much more evil side. Doesn’t mean Hamas is incapable of also committing war crimes

nun@lemm.eeto World News@lemmy.world•Gaza’s youngest influencer aged 11 among children killed by Israeli strikesEnglish105·11 months agoThey’re not dying for nothing. The state of Israel in its current form will not survive this war.
nun@lemm.eeto World News@lemmy.world•Gaza’s youngest influencer aged 11 among children killed by Israeli strikesEnglish293·11 months agoYou’re not supposed to feel bad she was an influencer, whatever that means. You’re supposed to feel bad that 11-year-old children are being intentionally targeted by airstrikes.
nun@lemm.eeto World News@lemmy.world•Gaza’s youngest influencer aged 11 among children killed by Israeli strikesEnglish313·11 months agoNot even a little? I recognise that many of their actions are clearly immoral or inhumane but I’m not self righteous enough to know I wouldn’t do the same if everyone I know was murdered, tortured, raped and starved by Israel.
The law of war governs conduct during armed conflict, regardless of whether or not a formal declaration of war exists or how disproportionate said conflict is

The brain is just another organ that specifically evolved to better help your “bone prison” survive. That it sometimes comes with unpleasant side-effects like existential dread is a trade-off that was deemed acceptable thousands of years before you came to existence and one which you have entirely no control over.

nun@lemm.eeto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Welcome all new users and Reddit refugees! [PARTNERED POST]1·11 months agoSo the way it was explained to me was like email. You can use your Gmail to send an email to someone using Outlook for example. So this post is hosted on for example lemmy.world (I cant actually figure out how to check yet) but I can still interact with it from my lemm.ee account. If for some reason I was banned from .world I wouldnt be able to interact with this post but would still be able to post and comment in any communities hosted on one of the other instances.
nun@lemm.eeto World News@lemmy.ml•Two Israeli embassy staffers shot dead in Washington19·11 months agoThis is a dictionary definition. Non-combatant ISIS members are also civilians. Whether they deserve to die or not has no legal bearing. Im unsure why that is considered controversial.
Israel considers the Syrian Golan heights and large chunks of the Palestinian West Bank including Jerusalem as parts of Israel. They effectively occupy and control the entire area of Palestine.
