Using 私 in example 8 instead of オレ様 might look like a mistake but you have to understand that this is formal Japanese. In these sorts of situations everyone is armed to the teeth and one wrong word can lead to a massacre.

One time while attending a nomikai I drank before my senior and was beaten within an inch of my life. As they were about to finish me off with a rocket launcher my senpai swallowed a grenade on my behalf, excused himself and blew up outside the izakaya, this was fortunately enough for the senior to spare my life.

I am forever indebted to Suzuki-san for his noble sacrifice. Please use the above phrases well and you might survive and even thrive in Japan.

I’m writing this message from my hospital bed where I am waiting to have 50 chopsticks removed from my rectum (unrelated incident). Thank you again, Suzuki-san. I know you are watching over me from above in heaven.

  • You’re taking it way too literal. Some women think it’s romantic when you ask their father for permission to marry them. If she wants you to do this, she’ll likely tell you. The same way you’d discuss whether she wants her father to walk her down the aisle. These practices aren’t necessarily bad or toxic.

If you are in a healthy committed relationship you talk about these sorts of things, there’s no right or wrong. On the other hand, I do agree with you that it would be really weird and creepy to ask a father permission to marry his daughter behind her back.

  • I’m twelve and going through puberty and struggling to find a community and understand the other sex. My parents don’t pay much attention to me and I’m not doing very well in school. Most of my ideas about masculinity come from clips from tv shows I saw on tiktok and various youtubers.

I’m being downvoted because of my somewhat troubling comments and instead of getting the help I need I’m driven further down the alt-right pipeline and become more alienated. Soon I’ll leave reddit and move to 4chan or some weird discord.

I’ll continue to become more radicalized until I finally break and commit some horrible crime. See you on the news in about five years!
