Tbh I am/was a little annoyed by all the artwork and non-photo related posts.

Like it wasn’t bad art or anything, c/pics just doesn’t seem like the right community to be posting grandma quote art.

I blame social media and short form content platforms (YouTube, Instagram and tiktok). They’re the ones who implemented TOS and bots/moderators to remove any comments that people don’t like seeing, and bent over backwards to cater to companies and advertisers who are too prudish to have bad words tied to their products and services.

I’m not saying I’d poison (or want them to be poisoned) my family, but it’s a little disheartening to know that me and my mom, my brother and his family, can barely afford to live when they’re just going on all these world travels, buying whatever they want, doing all these expensive rich person activities like it’s nothing.

They complain about their daughter (my cousin) basically being a 21-year-old toddler because they never took the time to teach her literally any discipline.

On top of that, bullshit “reputation” rules should never exist here.

When I first made my reddit account years ago, I remember being so confused when I couldn’t post more than one comment every 10 minutes (absolute bullshit arbitrary restriction), and when I tried to join a community with “too low karma.” “Oops, you can’t do that cause you’re an unpopular nobody and we don’t want you here… Yet.”

What’s the actual point of holding someone back from joining your online community if they don’t have enough “points” on their comments or posts? It’s just such bullshit imo, and restricts everything an online forum should be.

Or don’t give your money to a corporation that’s going all in on AI and data centers (which will wreak havoc on our already incredibly strained ecosystem).

Not to mention that Geforce Now is a subscription like Game Pass.
