TacoEvent@lemmy.zipto Data is Beautiful@mander.xyz•Graph of Peertube - CentralityEnglish4·13 days agoThis is really cool. I feel like people tend to want to gather some sort of critical insight from these graph visualizations but I just enjoy taking in the shape of this data.
Any particular explanation for the topmost featured graph?

Ketchup only works on really cheap or really expensive steak.
It’s equally good at cutting gristle as it is at cutting fat.
I could never get into Don’t Starve but Don’t Starve Together is a blast with friends and mods. The game’s old and developed enough at this point that I wouldn’t try to figure anything out on your own. Just look it up. You’re not gonna miss out on the “discovery”. The game is crushingly hard already.
TacoEvent@lemmy.zipto Buy European@feddit.uk•What are your recent "BuyEuropean" wins ?English5·1 month agoQobuz’s shop has a fantastic catalog of nearly all the music I want. A whole lot more than Bandcamp. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re building your music library!
TacoEvent@lemmy.zipto News@lemmy.world•James Talarico wins Democratic primary for US Senate in TexasEnglish118·1 month agoIt was frustrating to see Jasmine Crockett make the same mistakes as Kamala Harris in her campaign. Lots of “not that guy” and very little “why me”. Not once did I ever hear about Crockett’s policies in this entire election cycle. In contrast, every video of Talarico out there is him spitting bars about the same policies he has been fighting for for years.
Anyway, the battle is still ahead of us.
This kind of armchair take on human suffering will lead you down a dark path.

Thanks! This is what we did before our current food. She would eat a new brand of food for a week, get tired, and we’d swap out. We would float maybe 3-4 different brands at a time.
The problem with this is that we can never buy anything larger than 1-2lbs at a time of each brand because they last for so long and eventually get stale.
Already did. Asked several in fact. They all recommend the same damn food that my dog doesn’t like. Their job is to keep my dog alive, which is not the same as making sure they’re happy.

TacoEvent@lemmy.zipto Cooking @lemmy.world•What’s a food you love that everyone else seems to judge you for?English4·2 months agoThis reminds me of a lunch food item back when I was in middle school called sirloin steak. Basically a thick patty made of ground beef with gravy.
It is unfortunately in the distinct shape of doo doo and all the kids laughed at me for it but I couldn’t help myself. It tasted so good I got it anytime it was on the menu.
Helpful! Thanks! Yeah I’m pretty sure I installed it at a time before Find My.

As long as we have the capacity to fight back against the bots, it’s probably a good sign they’re banging on our doors. The hunger for real human content must be sky high after Reddit decided to belly up to corporate bots.
I’m curious about these challenges. I’ve never seen one while using Voyager. But I’m guessing it only appears for anonymous users?
TacoEvent@lemmy.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•Comcast keeps losing customers despite price guarantee and unlimited dataEnglish3·2 months ago100%. I’m surprised Comcast was able to offer $65/mo given the only alternative is ATT at $85/mo (current market rate).
TacoEvent@lemmy.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•Comcast keeps losing customers despite price guarantee and unlimited dataEnglish7·2 months agoI actually switched to Comcast recently. The only fiber option we have is AT&T and they have been literally adding $5 to our monthly bill every few months or so. What started as an $80/mo deal became $105/mo for no apparent reason.
Comcast was offering asymmetrical 1 gigabit with a 5 year lock at $65/mo. Install came out the next day and it’s been fine. I’m far more likely to hit 1000mbps actual on Comcast than when I had ATT. But on the flip side the service has a tendency to blip every now and then. No major packet loss or anything just the occasional slowness.
Both companies can go to hell the moment my city introduces municipal fiber. But that’s highly unlikely.
