I get it, but I think part of the key is, he’s so dis-likable. It’s true he’s got a lot of life ahead of him, but can’t see him convincing a dog to do something, let alone a majority of the electorate, or even a majority of the Republicans. He just doesn’t have the sway that Trump does. Though I personally cannot understand people who think Trump is charismatic. So incredibly repulsive.

There are a lot of people on lemmy I disagree with, and have not blocked. I believe his opinions aren’t just wrong, but immoral. I will not continue to engage with people I find immoral. Will engage with people that don’t agree to me that aren’t immoral. My reply was descriptive, not prescriptive. No one should, or probably would, do something because I say so, just reminding folks it’s an option.
Jikiya@lemmy.worldto Political Memes@lemmy.world•Madman Theory meets Dark Enlightenment Scapegoat5·1 day agoVance is not reasonable, but he is the legal replacement if Trump is vacated, for whatever reason. Maybe some people will consider him reasonable, but I have to imagine they are either deep republican, or have the intelligence and memory of a goldfish. “If I have to create stories so that the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of the American people, then that’s what I’m going to do.” -Vance
I don’t like Beep’s opinions, or stealing, so have blocked him/her, problem solved

I agree with your points, but Susan(original pic) didn’t help at all with her statement. They are prisoners even if illegally so, falsely accused, or locked up for no reason. It would have been much more constructive for her to mention that they have no reason to be imprisoned, rather than make her statement that they’re not prisoners.
Jikiya@lemmy.worldto Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•No one single person deserves millions for winning suitsEnglish31·16 days agoThis change would definitely get companies to change their behavior, make it a rounding error in the millionth of a percent region. That will definitely get them to behave differently.
What would be the plan, in your perfect world, to get companies not make the same mistake again? Ideal version would be nice to know, and maybe we can agree on that. But given that we’re not in the perfect world, what would you say the way to change company behavior is at this this exact point in time?
Have you had a mussel that the separated from the shell just by stabbing it and then picking it up? I’ve always had to hold the shell in place while doing so. Which gets the sauce on my hands, which is functionally not that different than peeling the shrimp that will “get my hands dirty”, at least in my mind. And I could manage it all just fine, if I wanted to, but clearly do not.
Looks delicious, but there’s no way I’d order from them. So I get my food, and then get to prepare it while it’s too hot to touch? So I need to wait for it to cool down to extract the mussel, and shell the shrimp. And then I get to eat lukewarm paella. It bothers me to have to shell food that’s been cooked, but know not everyone is neurotic as me.
Jikiya@lemmy.worldto You Should Know@lemmy.world•"US Person": is a red flag for financial institutions in Europe2·28 days agoDon’t think extradited, but US would try to garnish/seize money going into that account, which is why foreign banks don’t want to deal with the hassle of having a US customer. The extra legal requirements to have an account for you is just not worth it to them. The exception is only when you have a great deal of money, and then they can actually make money from your deposits. But then that amount of money in a bank is a sure sign you don’t know how to manage your money.
Jikiya@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Russia Supplying Iran with Intelligence to Target U.S. Forces, Says ReportEnglish51·1 month agoSeems like something an enemy of the US would want to do. Make this as difficult militarily and politically as possible. Can’t do anything here but be angry, and share more intelligence with Ukraine, maybe even give them more weapons. This is some obvious shit, and anyone that’s outraged by this doesn’t have much capacity for thought. Either that or they’re doing a performative gesture for the folks that don’t have the capacity to think.
Why’d they make a statue of Aang?
I will concede that it will be more expensive, but so will all computing devices. There will be some people who just can’t afford it, but I don’t think people will specifically avoid it due to price. Since a new computer will also have that same increase in price.
I can agree on AI being bullshit though.

I do not have anything against EVs, just misleading stats. But cant verify with no sources listed.
It’s all sunshine when she’s gone? I know it’s a song not a band, but fits, if overly wordy.
I’ll be so happy when I get it down to sometimes.
