I think that as has already been clarified in the comments I would have put Listen to them and think before posting, but not necessarily publish less… At least not like that because it is more a consequence of Listening/Thinking.

I also noticed that unconsciously I published less here but without interacting and recommending relevant content. Because in open source I often take the postulate that if something is already relevant, repeating it will not change it and on the contrary can drown the first information in the rest of the timeline unless we re-share.

To summarize, there are clearly efforts to be made and I completely understand that despite the existing tools this could be considered insufficient, especially when certain choices of the Mastodon foundation could be identified as problematic (I saw a publication on Thanksgiving T-Shirts and it’s pretty average), but it is more a structural and symptomatic problem of our society rather than just the Fediverse which still seeks to be better.

It’s a bit like representative democracy which we compare to the least worst solution compared to authoritarian regimes for example, but the difference is that we can improve as for democracy which can be direct. Through our society, many of us have unconscious habits or reflexes to deconstruct, whether for our own social struggles or for those of minorities whose constant problem is the underrepresentation of the fact that their experiences are therefore factually less represented.

One of the advantages and disadvantages is moderation on a human scale faced with a massive influx of users, but allowing the base to be able to offer scalable moderation according to user expectations and new threats.

#Infoclimat : Et depuis un peu + de 1 an j’ai @Infoclimat@piaille.fr une association qui permet de créer un maillage de stations amateurs et professionnelles. Ce qui permet de savoir quelle est l’information météorologique la plus proche et donc fiable pour nous.

En ajoutant à cela des sites et appli comme #AccuWeather et #OpenWeather qui agrège déjà une dizaine le sources ou #MétéoRadar, #MétéoCiel et PleinChamp, etc. On arrive à avoir une prévision assez fiable.

Peut-être que justement il cherche a blaser le monde face à cette nouvelle en la banalisant … à force de crier au loup on y croira plus. Y’a moyen que son objectif avec ça c’est de justement de dégonfler la bulle si ce n’est l’atténuer.

Surtout par celui qui a démocratiser l’usage de l’IA en parle h24 … ça peut peut-être participer à transmettre la désillusion volontairement et progressivement aux investisseurs en crevant l’abcès en douceur pour éviter que ça soit trop brutal.

On reviendrait alors à de l’investissement + raisonnable sans trop de dégâts.

I agree, because I have a Fairphone 3 and I am very tempted by the concept of the new Fairphone (Gen 6). However, I have 3 main reservations. The first is the downgrading from USB 3 to USB 2, the second is the number of screws that need to be removed just to replace the battery, and the last is the jack socket for wired headphones, which doesn’t seem to be there any more.

I don’t know if this is to improve waterproofing or simply to prevent accidents if the phone is dropped, but I find it convenient to have two batteries that I can swap when I’m on the go to avoid charging time.

And for USB, because it saves my mobile data and is very useful for transferring photos, documents, etc. And if I understand correctly, if it were possible, the time would be considerably longer, which doesn’t suit me at all.

je me permet d’intervenir pour ajouter un fait “nouveau”. Whatsapp a quelques jours après annoncé son intention d’ajouter les résumer de message avec l’aide de l’intelligence artificielle (Meta AI). Ce qui veut dire que potentiellement si une personne de notre entourage souhaite résumer l’un de nos messages celui-ci est donc transmis à Meta. Alors ils disent que ça serait traité dans des cloud sécurisé … Mais rien ne garanti qu’il n’iront pas y fouiller quand bon leur semble comme Apple la fait avec les enregistrement de Siri.

Évidemment je ne dis pas que ça ne soulève pas des questions. Mais que il y a quelque chose de possible. Que niveau masse utilisateurs sur plusieurs décennie – hors volumes excessive de publication – c’est en théorie aussi gérable. Il n’y a que pour la question de la modération où je ne saurais trop que conseillé n’étant pas expert du sujet. Et pour la conservation des données je ne pense pas que ça soit + complexe que le simple fait de rapatrier l’ensemble des données hébergé dans les cloud étrangers, pour ne pas dire américain. Mais c’est des choses qui ne sont petit à petits, par collectivité, ou … initiative d’institution étatique comme ici avec la Direction Interministérielle du Numérique (DINUM), notamment ce que je suggère dans la réédition de mon précédent commentaire.

On peut ensuite imaginer – par exemple – que une fois la fin de leur mandat leurs publications “sous mandat” soit conservé par l’instance, qu’il reprendrait leurs réseaux sociaux personnels qu’il avaient avant leur élection, et que leur compte mastodon de député soit gelé / en dormance sans pour autant que l’export de leurs données ne soit désactivé.

La proposition n’est pas limitant. C’est une pétition pour que le sujet soit investit dans les discussion à l’Assemblée Nationale. Il va sens dire que des interrogations comme les vôtres serait débattu avant adoption ou non par les institutions et le Sénat également.

Pour les autres élus, exemple les maires et conseils municipaux ça peut-être l’association des maires de France par exemple. Ici c’est une demande pour les députés si vous lisez. Il est ensuite tout à fait possible de le faire à différente échelles (régionale, départementale, etc) pour les autres élus. Rien n’est limitant. On hébergeait pas les utilisateurs du monde non plus.

Disons que si ce n’est pas nécessaire, mieux vous baisser la résolution. Un 360 px ou 720 px max est en général bien suffisant à moins que des détails ou une expérience immersive l’exige, par exemple pour une série en particulier ou une fiction.

Ça reste de la bande passant souvent sur-consommé et demandera + de ressources serveurs/clients. Il n’y a pas de petit geste pour l’environnement, même si l’impact semble minime.

Ça peut être par exemple mieux pour les anciennes machines qui RAM parfois pour une simple lecture de vidéo. Donc 1) consommation électrique + importante 2) détérioration possible du matériel avec surchauffe (éventuelle) car davantage sollicité. Ou encore au niveau du stockage des données + précise en vidéo/image/audio c’est aussi un volume + important dans sont stockage.

Évidemment ça ne va pus être la petite vidéo personnel regardé sur YouTube qui vu changer quelque chose mais 1 vidéos +1+1+…+1 es ça peut importe le type de fichier ça devrait être pris en compte. Les milliards de vidéos YouTube toutes chargé/téléversé en ligne en 4k ou 1080p n’auront pas le même poids que leur entièreté en 360p ou 720p.
