Swiping from one side of the screen in a continuous motion across the screen to the other side is a built-in “back” gesture. You can also swipe (without lifting your finger from the screen) from the bottom and all your running apps will be easily and quickly selectable.

Waze is my preferred navigation method. Probably preference but I find it better than Google Maps.

Not preference and actual fact: Do not trust Apple Maps to navigate to unfamiliar places. Just last year it took me to the edge of a North Carolina swamp in the dark. Then it dared to tell me, “you’ve arrived at your destination.”

The memes are accurate. Apple Maps is not always reliable.
