yea lol I get it it’s also a pastime of me and a friend, transliterating idioms like this. It was all started by his dad one day who explained something convoluted and finished with “…t’attrapes ma dérive ?” = you catch my drift ? We have been idiom-battling ever since, coming up with more and more absurd translations. I don’t get the fat cherry though, do you mind explaining ?

  • From a political standpoint, yes, it does, to an extent. I strive to use free software, but most games are made using proprietary engines, which is just a consequence of the state of that industry. Blender changed the landscape of animation production, there is no reason Godot can’t do the same for game development.
A second reason would be the concentration of wealth and power we see in big game engine developers such as Unity and Unreal. Millionaire (billionaire?) CEOs, anti-consumer terms of use, etc. These are good reasons to lobby in favor of FOSS alternatives, and to pirate games published by dipshits (such as, I don’t know, Krafton).

Nice, that phrase will definitely save your life the day you get arrested for littering citrus sheddings but the world at large happens to be vitamin-C deficient after climate change and water levels rising have pushed what remains of humanity to the heights of major mountain ranges where citrus trees can’t naturally grow and they need a specialist with experience both in pamplemousse farming and alpinism to save our kind
