Killing in the name of god and self-gain is the systemic problem. the worst of our humanity is being exploited while our greatest potential is being suppressed. The world has let Palestine be slaughtered and Iran is just next. I keep hearing Trump has ‘no exit strategy’, when actually it’s pretty simple: just leave and say sorry. But no, he cares for wealth more than he cares for the lives of disposable children, and he’ll bomb anything that makes him richer.

The msg from the media that ‘trump messed up and there’s no exit path’ is only half right. The US could just pack up and exit the way they came, but apparently they ‘can’t’. Why not?

The recipe I used last night was:
- 1/2 white onion finely chopped
- 1 red capsicum / pepper chopped to small pieces
- 3 colves of garlic finely chopped
- 1 x whole carrot finely shredded
- 1\4 cup sliced black olives
- 2 x whole red chillis finely chopped
- 2 tbl spoons of mixed Italian herbs
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 x jars of pasta sauce, any one you like. I’m not at the homemade level yet!
- 1 x small jar anchovies
- 500g beef mince or Spanish chorizo sausage
- 1 tblsp oil
Basic Steps: Cook the vegies in the oil, start with the capsicum/pepper, onion and olives then add the carrot, garlic and chillis once other veg is mostly cooked. Once all cooked, set veggies aside.
Cook mince or chorizo, once cooked add veggies, jars of pasta sauce, Italian herbs, ground pepper, anchovies (cut up with scissors) and mix together.
Add 1 cup of salted water from the water used to cook the pasta, stir and let simmer on low heat for 5 mins.
Serve on top of spag noodles, don’t mix together! I add about 50g of butter to the noodles to stop them sticking and for taste. Add grated parmesan and chili flakes to taste.
Enjoy!

DarkSpectrum@lemmy.worldto News@lemmy.world•Iran begins mining Strait of Hormuz as Washington's tanker escort claim collapses - Türkiye Today10·30 days agoyou could even say that a globalised food supply chain is not the ideal arrangement and that localised food production should be every country’s priority with surplus going to market. National and global corporations don’t do this because the local markets are too small to deliver industrial scale profit, but the most efficient approach to food production is least amount of travel and processing as possible. It’s not for profit, it’s for efficient food supplies.
add on top of that:
estimates are a reduction of 15-25% of global supply and 3-5 years to recover IF the straight is opened immediately and stays open. You can’t print oil ppl. The price per barrel will need to be high enough to squash 15-25% of global demand. We could see $300-350+ per barrel.
