Duckingold@lemmy.worldto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•"Between raising two young boys and putting in long hours at a marketing job, Kevin Caldwell can almost never find the time to make dinner. So he and his husband spend about $700 a week to order in"English21·2 months agoSomeone has never tried to get 2 toddlers into a car to go pick up food, get them in the store and then get back in the car. The $10 extra cost to have a pizza delivered vs pickup can be very worth it.
I don’t use delivery often, but you really need to realize not everyone lives the same life parameters as you.
I’ve been a full size candy bar house for a while. Buying bulk candy bars spiked in 2021. Boxes usually average about $1.25 per bar, but you can find sales at Costco at $0.60 each if you aren’t picky on exact candies.
Non-candy options I sprinkle in that are hits are rice krispy treats, bags of microwave popcorn (unpopped) and the packaged 2 pack of cookies.
Definitely a US grocery store.
195 or 310 is piece count. The bags are usually sold by rounded weight (3 or 5lbs).

A new solution would be restaurants having the full size bottles and when you pick up, you can bring a Tupperware to fill.
It likely wasn’t done on an electron microscope, or at least there is no reason to. There is no scale bar, but quick look online tells me a very fine needle is about 0.016in. 500x magnification optical lens would give you more than enough resolution for a photo like that.
Anyone else just use the plastic net that onions come in until it gets gross?

There was a full King of the Hill episode about it. Since then they refined the low flow toilets to be as good as the older style.

Duckingold@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is your worst experience with appliances?11·1 year agoSamsung Fridge/Freezer. About every spring and fall, our fridge freezes over in the cooling system. The ice builds up and blocks the fan which stops circulation so that the fridge warms up and spoils all the food. Samsung says there is no major issue but it seems to be common flaw talked about online. The fix is to take apart the back of the fridge and remove all the ice. One constantly on of the edge of buying a new one.

It would be a bit odd to me for the national guard to report to the US Forestry that they saw an armed militia and wouldn’t be actively pursuing it. Seems more likely is was a miscommunication in a hectic environment.

I think they also sell recipes and other bonus info, but I’m not certain.
