Russia won’t attack Europe any time soon. The war in Ukraine has already drawn them out so much. In the long term I do consider Russia a threat to Europe but right now they’re not one really.

Bloefz@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.ml•Pedro Sánchez, the prime minister of Spain, on the Iran cease-fire4·19 小时前I think his internal policy is really great too, I live in Spain myself.
But the nazi forces are rising here too which will be an issue in the next election. Here it’s called Vox.
Bloefz@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.ml•Pedro Sánchez, the prime minister of Spain, on the Iran cease-fire4·1 天前I wish more world leaders were like Sanchez. 👏The world wouldn’t be the mess it is now.
Bloefz@lemmy.worldto Hardware@lemmy.world•AMD reveals $899 price tag for Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 — first dual-cache X3D CPU is $200 more expensive than the Ryzen 9 9950X3DEnglish81·1 天前I don’t see the point. For gaming 8 cores is better and for other purposes the 3D cache doesn’t really help much.
I think it’s more bragging rights this way.
Bloefz@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Pope says Trump's threat to destroy Iranian civilization is 'truly unacceptable'English21·1 天前True, and they trained Osama Bin Laden as well when he was in the mudjaheddeen.
Really when does this stuff ever work out?
Bloefz@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•Why is gaming becoming so expensive? The answer is found in AIEnglish9·2 天前Yeah the guardian is a quality news source imo. One of the few good ones left in the world
Bloefz@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Pope says Trump's threat to destroy Iranian civilization is 'truly unacceptable'English1144·2 天前What’s more worrying is that nobody else is saying it.
Sure it’s a horrible regime but they’re not the only ones going to be suffering
Bloefz@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Trump confirms Iran’s claim that protesters were US-armedEnglish10·3 天前I’m very left. We don’t support Iran’s regime. They are murderous monsters. And are against everything we stand for like feminism and LGBTIQ rights
That doesn’t mean it’s ok to unilaterally and in contravention to international law start bombing the shit out of Iran. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Also it’s not an actual solution. The US destroyed Iraq’s pretty bad regime, then left a power vacuum that made things even worse for their people and created ISIS.
In Afghanistan they created just a temporary relief until they gave up and things returned back to how they were.
This time it caused a lot shit for the whole world and there isn’t even a plan for after.
Not really but you do see already that Linux is becoming more opinionated. For example recently kde introduced a new display manager (to replace sddm) that requires systemd.
It’s becoming harder to get off the beaten track.
I think if Linux becomes something for the masses it will no longer be for me. So I’m hoping that won’t happen.
End users just want their hand to be held by some kind of corporation. Happy to give up their information and privacy. To have no choices in interface etc.
Basically, Linux for the masses will look exactly like ChromeOS. Completely unusable for a power user with a need for privacy and control.
Bloefz@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Kristi Noem ‘blindsided’ by report about her cross-dressing husband8·8 天前Yes true, I saw the actual pics after. It looks less like a real crossdresser to me and rather like a sophomoric joke that leaked.
I made that point elsewhere in the thread but I hadn’t seen the pic when I made the above comment.
Bloefz@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Kristi Noem ‘blindsided’ by report about her cross-dressing husband3·8 天前No that’s clear. Most of us on lemmy.world don’t, that’s why I hang out here and not on X or Gab
I don’t really have one. I just get stuck 😢
Ps, she’s @cherry.adhd on instagram, can recommend following her.
Bloefz@lemmy.worldto Europe@feddit.org•Europe Is Breaking Up With Visa and Mastercard — and It’s a $24 Trillion ProblemEnglish1·8 天前Yes but this is a simple migration away. The system itself and its adoption are far bigger barriers.
AWS
Also, when Wero started, Trump hadn’t started to set the world on fire yet, so the geopolitical angle was far less pronounced. Until Jan 2025, hosting an EU service on AWS was not controversial.
Bloefz@lemmy.worldto Europe@feddit.org•Europe Is Breaking Up With Visa and Mastercard — and It’s a $24 Trillion ProblemEnglish10·8 天前Which does nothing for point of sale at present, it is only vaguely ‘planned’.
In Europe we didn’t really rely on credit cards for online payments anyway. It was an option but far from the only one. The problem was just that each country had their own system which was a PITA. Wero unifies those. Handy for webmasters, but geopolitically not a gamechanger.
The big problem is PoS payments where MC/Visa are king and basically have a duopoly. I don’t know why Wero didn’t start with the elephant in the room.

Bloefz@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•Kristi Noem ‘blindsided’ by report about her cross-dressing husband3·8 天前Ah ok the whole Lewandowski thing was news to me so I understand yeah. Maybe she’s trying to make a case for a favourable divorce settlement also.
He is and he always was as prime minister too. We called him Teflon Mark because he kept coming back scandal after scandal. Shit just doesn’t cling to him. That’s really the main thing he’s good at, laughing problems away. And being a puppet for big corporations which is what his party was always about.
In that sense he fits in well with Trump. No substance.
