I wonder how this trust-relationship issue could be adressed without having central authorities as CA’s.

I’ve been interested in them for quite a few years so I asked him to let me see it and he did. Even though it was a 6+ year old phone it was running smooth as butter, the initial UX was awesome.
I really hope this becomes a reality and that the phone isn’t just another cheap chinese touchscreen device. I am making the switch when the time comes.

Ooh, so quirky and cool. 🤓

I haven’t kept up with the cybersecurity world recently. Ever since I graduated I’ve just been completely fed up with IT. Is there a story behind this? Has a major service done this lately?

Big up for salutem! Have been using it for a few years now. It’s very nice, doesn’t foam, doesn’t have anything unecessary, perfect for someone woth a super sensitive mouth like me. I get ulcers from normal toothpaste, like Elmex.
I consider myself lucky having been raised with Linux. My first ever laptop that I got at 6 years old from my dad had edubuntu on it :) never used Windows on a personal device in my life

Alternatives consodered, I think the Estonian eID is really well thought out and implemented in maybe the best way possible. Really pleased with it.

The Estonian one is by far the most comfortable to use of the three, with even a working and maintained Linux version. It is also tied to the PCKS#11 certificate stored in your ID card, instead of a corporate bank account.

This was at a college with no computer science program, and most people being not very savvy with technology.
The ones asking for hekp usually had some old Macbook with weird boot menus

It’s a show of how huge the demoscene was, and is here in Finland. Remedy Entertainment was founded by a bunch of demoscene veterans, as were most big game studios here.
