How do you know that?

The game turned to a turd by the time its successor came along, went up to 200GB download and full of the terrible MTX.

It started off in such a good place though

I can’t answer that question exactly, but I will say that they are built for different reasons.

Inkscape is an excellent vector tool

Krita has been built from the start to be a drawing, painting illustration tool

Gimp is an image manipulation tool.

Naturally they have features that cross over with one another but they are each the best at their specific goal

Same, it’s brilliant, and the devs have created the nicest community around it too.

I’m playing it through again right now on shadPS4, plays like a remaster with upscaled resolution 3440 x 1440 and 60fps.

Probably my favourite memory is story around Father Gascoine, fighting him for the first time was so exciting and frustrating but it really hones in your parry skill, later learning the fate of his wife and daughter (I missed some of this on first through), and also his relationship with other hunters and Eileen the Crow hunting them down.

Yeah you definitely get used to it, and really 6 months isn’t a long time for boxing.

As other posters have said, try and reframe it.

Try not to intellectualise it, boxing is much more about training the body which involves repetive drills for months and years.

It will be useful for Indy devs that don’t have teams of amazing artists

What’s the difference between this and a fresh install of Arch with a DE like KDE/Gnome?

I’ve been using Arch for so long now that if I bought a new machine I would find it hard to try anything else.

I’ve got the original release on PC and haven’t played it since release.

I’m considering buying the new Scholars version but I found out that they’ve added lots of new enemies and changed quite a bit about the game.

Now I’m not sure if I should

• stick with the original
• use original and add mods to update graphics/shaders
• play Scholars version
• play Scholars version with mod for original enemy placement and numbers

Not sure what’s the best way to play it now. I’d ideally still like to have the multiplayer features so not sure if mods would ruin that either.

This game is one of the games that I always bring up when people ask the question “what game did you bounce off at first, but you’re glad you stuck with it”.

It took me a few goes to get into it, but after abandoning trying to perfect the stealth run and just enjoying it for what it is I started to love it

There’s a lot they could fix and improve with a remake or remix.

• weapon balance, spreading weapons out though the game.
• chalice dungeon balance and a better tie in with the story
• smoother story progress, not getting lost on where to go next

I’m playing the game through again right now, and it’s undeniably brilliant, but it’s not perfect.

Yeah it’s still my favourite in many ways. I prefer the world and design compared to Dark Souls and the atmosphere and soundtrack.

Would love to try out the remaster one day too.

I replayed it on RPCS3 on the Steam Deck a few months back, not 60fps but really nice to play it that way.

Check it out and see what you think, I’m having no problems running through and I just defeated Vicar Amelia. There is a bit of slowdown sometimes but it’s not ruining the game for me.

Bloodborne if you use a Madman’s Knowledge before encountering either the Cleric Beast or Father Gascoigne, this unlocks thr Doll in The Hunters Dream.

Have you seen what you can do with ShadPS4 on the PC? Upscaled resolution, Ultrawide dimensions, 60FPS and other tweaks, the textures are good enough it feels like playing Elden Ring, it’s a fantastic experience.

What’s wrong with Steam or Mumble?

You can download the game via steam but then run it from the application file directly without using Steam.

There is also a command line tool for downloading Steam games
