The hidden function is to enable people to be together so they can socialize, get to know each other, and brainstorm on what they can do together to make things better in some way. Brainstorming, doing, and collaborating united
Everybody in a protest getting things done is more effective than a protest where everyone is only just walking with signs
Batmorous@lemmy.worldto politics @lemmy.world•'No Kings!' 8 Million Rally Against Trump in Largest Single-Day Protest in US History | Common Dreams4·11 days agoWe seriously need a countrywide and also even individual online real-time communities for states and cities focused on getting things done together.
Especially to inform each other on when these events are
I know many people who would have gone including myself.
Keep getting more people active, and most importantly connected with each other in-person and online. We all got this!! First we need to better connect!
Edit: Stoat, and Matrix are ideal for the platforms to build up these online 3rd spaces

Also for the “ones in charge” its a 99% vs 1% situation (Realistically 97% vs 3%). The people working together and showing up to do wins every time from numbers alone mix in brainstorming and collaborating and it makes it way easier to win. Many people doing already but the more the better!!

Batmorous@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•Xbox Co-founder Says Microsoft is Quietly Sunsetting the PlatformEnglish41·1 month agoWe seriously need to get open source PC console community-made offerings up and running. To share the load of building that up. Community built up competitors and Valve will be enough.
Still I also would like to see some new players come in too.
Are there any companies that would do well in gaming? What if AMD made their own console?

That and new unionized IP Provider companies. Anything that goes back to the hands of the people is a good thing
Also this sounds amazing for Fedora to come to phones. Want to see Linux Mint, Pop OS Cosmic, and Bazzite to get same treatment eventually

Locally up to internationally we the people have the power to get things done together!! Get more people active from anybody that isn’t yet!!
Also if you notice anybody going through tons of stress comfort them for a bit, laugh, have fun, and bring up their hope. Get them connected with others in person and online. All of us together are capable of anything
These countries a lot done from people working together: Syria, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Madagascar
Others that already were: Japan, South Korea, Norway, Denmark.
Currently all the People and especially people from these countries need all the assistance they can get: Ukraine, Myanmar, USA, Iran, Nigeria, India (Yes every country just these will have huge impact on everything else)
P.S. Networks of Information systems? I wanna help out for that what do you recommend I do? Been thinking setting up Matrix and Fluxer communities to help out with getting people mobilizing, collaborating, and doing in-person and online. Online communities focused on getting things done
It is 1 to 4 population difference so not the biggest difference.
