Almost under a day. I can now see .world, midwest.social, .ee and others in my feed.

Yay, down to one week delay. Looking forward to catching up.

Lets hope this migration fixes a bunch of federation issues. Right now I am hoping these issues are all related.

Can’t wait until we can see all of lemmy again.

Well we would also not want to be here if .ml was favoured over any other instance, that would kinda make the idea of federation a bit pointless.

Hmmmm, and it does not help the controversy when this issue seems to happen to then fill smaller instances with .ml posts…

Well there is a big issue with LW to any smaller instances if this is working like you think. Right now being on mander is like having less then half of lemmy and I would guess that if it can happen with mander it can/is happening with others.

And yet they are still struggling to sell the 8.8 million they make a year.

But we have no tools to migrate users or communities. We can not vote with our feet so much as start over and over and over.

Did they get any? I mean I have got some and I don’t even host anything at all. I am wondering what they did or did not get in relation to legal action.

.world took those 100k happily and with open arms…

The advertisement and push they did on sites like reddit and their listing on join-lemmy.org (when they where still listed) made them the biggest instance. And with the name Lemmy.world they did nothing to dissuade anyone from thinking that. If this was all randos pushing the instance then boo to them, but I also saw nothing from .world not claiming to be the bigger instance(super lemmy)

But they are the ones putting themselves up as the superlemmy instance? They are trying to convince people this is the new reddit but somehow that there would be nothing questionable posted?

Why are the thank you posts getting upthings when they provide no substance? I mean the tone above is not very nice but at least it highlights the need for migration tools.
