Maxim Anokhin dropping a wild drum and bass EP is not exactly a novelty here on L/B Recordings and yet we need our fix of brief yet addictive Limewax offerings. This time done in alliance with Lucy Furr, the record starts with the ambient-heavy “Indefinability” which quickly chews the listener with its menacing drumming cut by punishing synth lines. Besides for its almost offensive artwork, the EP sees Lucy Furr revising Maxim’s top 2017 banger “Ukrboy”. The track is now brought to another realm by layers of epic melancholy, an extended atmospheric outro which all somehow manage to co-exist with the savage drum work. And if by chance you thought this EP is longer than the three tracks we promised, well, you’re wrong and you’ve just looped the closer “Acitate” as it’s warm drum textures are too hard to let go.
