Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge#53 DT Cards

Morning peeps. It is an exciting week over at DIGI DOODLE SHOPS BEST where a new Challenge is just about to start. We are celebrating our 1st Birthday on 1st April, so of course the Challenge this week couldn't be anything else than a BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION CHALLENGE. To celebrate this week I have made two DT cards, both with the same image to hopefully show how versatile this image is. I could have played with this image for ever. It is great for both male and female cards alike. 1st DT Card 8 x 8

For this 8 x 8 card I have used digi image "Special Delivery" from of course THE SHOP The colouring medium is Promarkers. The image has been cut & mounted using "Labels Ten" S5-022 from Spellbinders. The sentiments have been computer generated. Both the image and sentiments have been stippled with "Tumbled Glass" DI using Ink Dusters. Dp is "Stud Muffin" item#088 "Like Father like Son" by Michelle Coleman from Fancy Pants Designs. The embossed panel is "Cupcakes" embossing folder from Craft Concepts. The cupcakes have been picked out with stickles. 2nd DT Card A5

For this A5 card it is the same great digi image and I have used the same colouring medium. The edges of both the image and sentiments have been stippled with "Dusty Concord" DI using Ink Dusters. All the corners of the card/sentiments and image have been rounded using an X Cut punch. The dp this time is "Be Strong" Like Father like Son by Michelle Coleman from Fancy Pants Designs. The jute ribbon/jute thread & buttons are from my stash.

There is a no better time to join us at DIGI DOODLE in this challenge and get some of those Birthday cards made. This week as it is a special celebration week all three winning cards have a surprise prize. All 3 winners will also be in the running, if the wish to join us as a Guest Designer, working along side the DT for the following month. This Challenge will run for the usual one week but we have a week's break to let the new DT settle in so the next Challenge will be 14th April when we will have our new Design Team on board. I have enjoyed working with the girls on the exsisting team and will be sad to see some of them leaving. I wish them all the best in the future and hope we keep in contact.

Baby Chick/Daisy Bunny

Afternoon you lovely people. I had a nice catch up coffee with a friend of mine this morning who I haven't seen for about six weeks. She only lives the bottom of my drive but she has been busy with family issues and I have been busy crafting and seeing other friends. My dear hubby is not a happy bunny as the weather is changing just as he was starting digging out his bigger pond. Yesterday was wasted as he had to take me to hospital twice, once in the morning for an appointment and once in the afternoon.

For my card today I have made a double easel card. It is the first time I have made one of these and now I have to sort out an envelope. Lol!!! Image 1 on the left hand side is "Baby Chick" from Karen's Doodles. Image 2 on the right hand side is "Daisy Bunny" also from Karen's Doodles. The colouring medium is Promarkers. The images have been cut using "Petite Scalloped Circles Large" S4-115 by Spellbinders. The dp's are "Fresh Flowers" item# ST11004 Springtime Echo Park Paper Co. The gems are from my stash.

Rain or Shine

Afternoon peeps. The weather can not make up it's mind here today. Hazy sunshine but a lot cooler. It will be typical if the weather turns a lot colder and rains next week as OH was going to start digging out for his larger pond. He doesn't want to leave the fish too long in the paddling pool that he has bought to put them in while he is digging out. Lol!!!!

My Card. The colours are deeper than what it shows in the photo above.

The stamped image is "Rain or Shine" 40-024 from Penny Black. The colouring medium is Promarkers. The edges have been stippled with "Spun Sugar" DI. I haved used an X Cut corner punch. The dp is "Sequence" item #653 by Nancie Rowe-Janitz Fancy Pants Designs. I don't always agree with the coordinating colours they put together. The pale paper is a light pink subtle lace pattern, not sure it goes with the dark brown spotty paper. The flowers are recycled from an old card, also the green pearls on the umberella trim. The butterfly has been cut out of pink glitter card using a Spellbinders die S3-038 Butterflies.

Cute Amy

Morning peeps. Still sunny here at the moment but it is all set to change and cool down and be overcast. Looking forward to going to a friends this evening in Suffolk for a meal.

My card today is a Diamond or Spring card. The image is a freebie this week from CRAFTY SENTIMENTS if you enter this week's Challenge & Blog Hop using the image. The colouring medium is Promarkers. The dp is "Blossoms" item #ST11009 Springtime Echo Park Paper Co. I have used "Lacey Circles" S4-293 by Spellbinders to cut the circle behind the image. The 8 gold gems that I have put on all the corners are by Papermania. The yellow ribbon is from my stash.

Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge#52 DT Card

Morning peeps. Nearly the end of March!!! Another month flown by. Another super Challenge is just starting over at DIGI DOODLE SHOP'S BEST . This week we would like to see Ribbons & Bows on your project.

The image I have used for this weeks easel card is "Fascination" which was a new image for February. Go here to find out how to buy it and download it. The colouring medium is

Promarkers. The sky has been stippled with "Tumbled Glass" DI using Ink Dusters. Corners have been rounded using a X Cut punch. The dp's are "Brenna" item#833 Sweet Pea by Michelle Coleman from Fancy Pants Designs. The ribbon is from Ribbon Box. The sentiment "Thinking of You" is stamped - Hot off the Press. The butterfly trim is a Deep Edge punch from Martha Stewart.

Bunny Egg

Afternoon peeps. Nice and sunny here today thank goodness. OH I am pleased to say has got to let me have a spend up when I go to Ally Pally 9th April as he has this lunchtime ordered a lot bigger pond/pump & filter as the minute he put in his first one last year he wasn't happy with the size. He has been itching to get the biggest one.

My card today is using the digi image "Bunny Egg" from Karen's Doodles. The colouring medium is Promarkers. The dp is "Springtime- Floral Fun" item #ST11012 from Echo Park Paper Co. The butterfly has been cut out of pink glitter card using S3-038 Butterflies by Spellbinders. The ribbon/gems in the middle of the flowers & silver sentiment peel off are all from my stash.

Another One for My Box!!!!

Afternoon peeps. Overcast here today, where is the sunshine that they promised us? I am walking around still today like an old lady. I am still in a lot of pain with my hips and knees. I am really looking forward to my disabled swimming on Wednesday night, hopefully it will do me some good!

The digi image is "Lenny Christmas" which is a freebie from Stamp Fairy this fortnight if you enter ABC Christmas Challenge, I have used the sketch from ABC as well to do this card. Proud Mama

Morning peeps. It is lovely and sunny here today but we had a hard frost over night. My poor shrubs that are begining to flower!

The digi image I have used today is "Proud Mama" from Karen's Doodles. The colouring medium is Promarkers and Sakura Glitter Pens. The dp is "Springtime" Echo Park Paper Co. I have used a Martha Stewart deep edge punch for the bottom border and Spellbinders die for the butterfly cut out of glitter card. The flower has been cut on a friend's Cricket machine and then coloured with Promarkers.

Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge#51 DT Card

Morning peeps. It is Thursday morning again! I don't think I need to tell all our followers that is time for another great Challenge over at DIGI DOODLE SHOPS BEST . This week is ANYTHING GOES.

My DT Card

The image I have used this week for this easel card is "Ill Puppy" and can be found in the shop. The colouring medium is Promarkers. The background has been stippled with "Antique Linen" DI using Ink Dusters. The image has been cut & mounted using a Spellbinders nestie. The dp's are from "The Stack6" 12 x 12 pad by DCWV. The buttons & ribbon are from my stash.

Top Chef

Afternoon peeps. I am trying to type without chipping my nails. Lol!! I had a pamper this morning and had a Manicure and Eyebrow Wax. It is very difficult trying to type without actually touching the keyboard.

My card today is an 8 x 8 card and is for my Step Son in Law who lives in France. I thought this image was very apt for him.

The image and the sentiment have been cut & mounted using "Mega Nesties Curved Rectangles" S5-006 by Spellbinders. The image has been stippled around the edges with "Tumbled Glass & Peeled Paint, the sentiment has been stippled with "Peeled Paint" DI only using Ink Dusters. The dp is "On the Dot Mustard" Urban Window Collection WeR Memory Keepers. The jute ribbon & buttons are from my stash.

Curved Rectangle Easel Card

Morning peeps. The sun is trying it's best to shine today. I am shouting encouragement, let's hope it works. I have tried something slightly different today in the shape of my card, different for me anyhow. I have made easel cards before but never using a die cut.

The stamped image is "Bunnies Together" CL071 Milton & Co Wild Rose Studio. The colouring medium is Promarkers. The sentiment "Happy Easter" stamp is from Personal Impressions 289 AA. The image and sentiment edges have been stippled with "Tattered Rose" DI using Ink Dusters. Main card & mounts have been cut using "Mega Nesties Curved Rectangles" S5-006 by Spellbinders. I haven't invested in the Grand ones as yet as I can not afford the machine and new Nesties at the moment. The ribbon trim has been cut using LR0101 from Marianne Design Creatables. The ribbon is from my stash.

I had a dilemma whether to make this into a baby card which it would have really suited and I could have entered it into one more challenge and not use it or make it an Easter card and use it. As you can see I choose the latter.

Well folks March is here already!!! Another month gone!!! Never mind we have another great Challenge starting today at DIGI DOODLE SHOP'S BEST . This week is a COLOUR COMBO OF BLACK & WHITE.

Both edges have been stippled with "Spun Sugar" DI using Ink Dusters. The dp is "The Stack" from DCWV. The ribbon is from my stash.
