I mean, this is what Americans are paying for. Americans work hard. Have limited holidays. They suffer from any social net, but when they work and they buy things they are paying for the bombs and death and destruction in the name of Israel. Spend 30 seconds watching the destruction they sowed across Lebanon this afternoon.

These criminals have to be stopped and be held accountable.

We have a ceasefire.

Does it include Lebanon I wonder? If Iran is looking at the long game, then yes absolutely. If not, a clear and considered stab in the back, then the genocidal and neo-colonialist activities of the depraved state of Israel will continue.

Fuck war man. Fuck war.

Esperanza by Hermanos Gutiérrez. This song is the background to a long scene in the episode ‘The Gap’ in Pluribus and was by far the highlight of the entire show for me. Made only more perfect by this song. It’s incredibly difficult to combine story, music, cinematography so seamlessly.

My attention is so hijacked at the moment, I’ve not been able to read anything substantive. It’s all been news related shit that just upsets me.

All I want to hear is the end of the war and Israel withdrawing its troops from Lebanon. The Iranians will have their toll both to pay for all the destruction that the US/Israel ‘excursion’ (what a fucking tool) brought to the world.

Some sort of agreement will need to be considered in the Gulf states who have had to bear the brunt of the retaliation.

Sadly, with hateful immature toddlers at the helm, I don’t see this happening.

🍿 Finished watching: Pluribus Season 1. Fascinating premise, and exceptionally well done. Great escapism because honestly I need it right now.

The Worst of Us

When the war in the Middle East began, I decided to pause publishing my Stet articles - all twelve articles are written. My headspace still isn’t there.

I have dedicated my adult life to building things across the world. Trying to make things a little better, while making a living. Having a family. Raising my kids. Making friendships. Adopting new countries.

It’s hard for me to have the same level of enthusiasm and verve for very much at the moment. Read an article, listen to a podcast, watch some news, get angry, get upset, get frustrated, get sad. It’s non stop cycle at the moment, that goes round and round. It is seemingly heading somewhere, but the destination is uncertain but clearly not a great one.

What’s happening in the Middle East is the antithesis of everything that I stand for. For those that have lost their homes, their land, their safety, their loved ones, I have nothing meaningful to offer.

Sadly the meaningful change is in the hands of a few hateful individuals.

The worst of us.

🍿 Finished watching: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. A family tradition. This was for all the Mario fanboys and fangirls. Yasmine and I kept falling asleep - probably because the seats at Imagine Cinemas are amazing.
