On November 14th, 2014, I published my first novel Blade of the Broken. Does it feel like ten years? Most writers of book anniversary posts usually say the time flies by for me, it feels like it’s been an age. The start of the book was outlined at a Writer’s Workshop I was attending in August 2011 and surprisingly ended up leaving in the middle of because of sepsis. Recovered a little and when I was able to use the old Windows XP laptop, outlined some more. Left the hospital in October 2011 and knocked the first draft out. Was 19, and by the time I’d rewritten it several times, gotten brutally helpful critiques from the internet, and had an editor go through it I was 22. Two weeks after November 14th, 2014, I turned 23.
If 20ish Jake knew what he knew now, his debut would have been a standalone. But would a, could a, should a! 🙂 I was still growing up. Still discovering different interests, dating, you know life stuff. But Book II is going to get finished and will be much more mature than book two. (Not in a T and A sense, mind.) …Thanks for your support over the years! Please keep telling your friends; sales will help with Book II production and other works!
