Very fun game, and I loved the animations! My only complaint is that it's a bit short, but it is a demo, after all. Love to see where this goes in the future!
Also, here was my best run:
Tried it on Steam!
Quite a fun experience in my opinion, but there few minor issues.
First, the color scheme is soft and visually appealing, but it makes a lot of the UI blend together, which makes hard to tell what's important/relevant. Consider adding something to help separate the foreground from the background.
If you have 10 Scrolls, you cannot sell the bottom one because the button is so low that it's off the screen.
Also, if you have at least 3 runes, it starts removing them from the shop.
All in all, a joy to play! Looking forward to seeing where you go with it.
This is not only a fun, but very nuanced game that could I truly play for hours. It combines elements of solitaire and roguelikes really smoothly and fairly. However, the biggest restriction keeping this game down is that it's in Pico-8. There's so many different things that are important that 16,000 pixels just isn't enough, so I was really glad to see this is going to get updated graphics on Steam if when it comes out. I don't say this often, but I'm genuinely looking forward to this one.
I think I also managed to put a Pocket Dimension in the smallest. I will tell you, though, that this felt terrible to play. At best, I had to go through 6 different rounds in 6 different games just to play 1 round, and at worst a full 20-round game. As funny as this was, I hope it gets capped at like 2 sometime in the future.
