I really like the UI and the gameplay! Some people just wanted milk and sugar, no coffee!!! I might suggest communicating that the recipes are unknown, rather than just that they want nothing. I was pretty confused -- I thought they just wanted empty cups

I couldn't get the movement to work :/

A really neat idea!! It's super polished for a game jam. I did get a little stuck and the rotation felt a little random on the bigger levels. Maybe if the game ran at a slower speed it would be easier to be intentional? I guess that's what the farting is for, so skill issue!

I really like the idea, but I think it's a little bit too hard in the current iteration. The lights don't stay off for long enough, so it's more of a timing, execution game than it is a puzzle platformer. Also, it might be good to show a dim/transparent outline of where the lights will be when they turn back on. Also also! it might be a good idea to have the coffee respawn in your hand after it hits a light, not the end of the screen, as that added with the short light-turn-off time makes it tricky to have enough time to move around. I really like the concept though, and think you should keep working on it! That's why I'm giving so many critiques (not to be mean, but to help!!!)

I like the idea! A little difficult to get working, but it's a cute little creation

Thank you so much! I just added music and sounds, so hopefully gameplay feels even more polished!

Thank you for playing! Hopefully the newly added sounds and music make the gameplay feel even better!

Thank you for playing! I had an idea to make it a rogue-like and have upgrades as time goes on, or to make the different color wizards have different characteristics, but only so much can be done during a game jam. I did go back in and add music and sound effects, though! Hopefully it feels more polished now! :)

Thanks for playing! I have a score counter in the code, but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out Unity's UI system..

I liked it! A quick, little, fun game. I might suggest color-coding the names of the items when the ghost asks for them! Like coffee=brown, snack=purple, cocktail=green. Then you'd have a quicker time recognizing what is being asked for.

A really great idea! It's a little hard to get used to, maybe some sort of transparent arrows showing what direction you can travel on the ground could be helpful, and then you slowly fade them out as time goes on.  Just a suggestion! But I thought it was a really great use of the theme

I like the idea! I also had projectiles that act as light sources in my game!

Thank you for playing! You inspired me.. so I wrote a theme and went back in to add some sound effects. Let me know what you think!

I might suggest having only the arrow keys as directions for the ingredients; it gets a little bit messy with images on top and bottom when only one of the two is what you care about. A really fun idea though!

I love the atmosphere you've created! I'm a little confused about what I'm supposed to do, but I love just walking around and taking it all in. The little alien guy doesn't seem to be too angry at me either! We just walked with each other for the whole time.

it's a little confusing, but the game has a ton of charm. i like that you put the tutorial inside the game instead of only leaving it in the description like me...

Super cute idea! I love your art, the idea of tying your vision to a resource but still letting gameplay work without it is great. The only thing it is missing is a stronger sense of urgency. It feels like the whole game could be played in dark mode if you memorize the recipes and layout.

I really like your Celeste-inspired visuals! and i love love love your dithering -- we BOTH did dithering light circles!

This game is SOOOO well polished. My favorite little detail has to be the walking sounds. It's such a cozy experience

(except for when I'm looking everywhere for pears and finding only grapes!!! the critters on my island love eating pears more than anything else)

Thanks for the ideas! I've added each of those elements, let me know what you think about it!

this is a brilliant interpretation of the theme and limitation. your puzzles are just terrific! this is super enjoyable. i would love to see this made into a full game!

I love the dithering effect! This would play really well on a controller with a joystick. Great jam submission!

Your art style is soooo pretty. It looks FREAKING FANTASTIC. I'd love to figure out your filter

like squid game!

I think your art is really, really charming! Great work, I love the pixel art!

Your font is really funky! Neat game!

(1 edit)

I really like your 1-bit pixel art! We did pixel art for our game too, so I can appreciate your animations! Great job!

This is a REALLY cool idea! I love the concept of a game being done in a terminal! Nice job!

It's SO IMPRESSIVE that you added multiplayer to a gamejam!!

Your sound design makes the game feel really polished. Really great idea - a great jam submission!

Pretty fun! It reminds me of the dinosaur game you play when wifi is out! Great jam submission

Your art is super nice!

A beautiful, beautiful game! AANDD a fellow bird game too! :)

Fellow bird game!!

Super cool art! It's always impressive when people make a 3D game for a game jam

This could be a really simple and cool mobile game! Like others have said, it feels a little slow.
