First of all, amazing asset, thank you so much.
For anybody having problems with missing textures, follow this:
1. Open the .blend file in Blender
2. On the inspector on the right, select Car_Base or any of the car subparts
3. Then click on the "Shading" tab on the top
4. Below you'll see the Material Nodes graph or whatever that's called. Find the left-most orange node that's referencing a texture called '5Car 1_Car 1_mat_Diffuse.png'. This texture does not exist. Click the little folder icon right next to it to choose a new texture, and choose one of the existing colored car textures (e.g. Blue Car Texture.png). This change will propagate for all the other parts. If not, fix all of them individually.
5. Export to your preferred format
Glad you liked it! Nostalgia is exactly what I aimed for. Times changed and programs nowadays simply are not that fun anymore.
I reckon some folks might not have used Winamp back then that much. Even I used mostly Windows Media Player back in XP. So I made sure to make the visualizer the main flagship in terms of fun.
About the default songs, I'm almost relieved that they are good. It's hard finding good copyright-free music lying around in youtube.
I even thought of putting more variety there, but it turns out since I developed this player solely using my Hybrid Theory CD as a test album, the visualizer has a certain bias for reacting in a nice way only to high bpm and rock music. So I had to narrow it down to a few (good) copyright-free rock/metal songs when shipping.
Anyway, thank you for the feedback! It was one of the best jams I had in terms of fun developing something.
