Oh wow, how to explain a shader :) 
A shader is a small program that runs on the GPU to control how things are drawn. It can determine a pixel's color, apply lighting, create effects like water or fire, or even deform geometry, all while rendering the scene.

Yeah, the AI is definitely the weakest part of the game. I’m still struggling a bit in that area, but I’m working on a new, improved version of the same concept, so hopefully it will get better.

I presume with most game engines you can adjust the font size to your liking, but it best works with Pixel art games. Probably up to 640x480.

The animation of the bats looks a bit fast to me. More like flys. I would consider slowing it down.
