The colours of the game were inspired by the dream about the elf, as purple and pink were the flower colours that the all the other elves had. I remember all the elves having twigs and blossoms growing out of their hair, and when stood among the other elves, my elf's blossoms were indeniably green.
Even though the other elves did not understand the why or how of my elf being green, they couldn't deny the fact that they were green, even if they really wanted to. They asked my elf "why not choose pink or purple?" over and over at every obstacle, and every time my elf told them it would make them "less themselves" and then carry on with whatever they were doing.
It's probably why the dream stuck out so much to me after I had it, and why I can remember some of the finer details of it now. It felt less like a dream and more like looking at another version of myself.
