## Welcome to SHMUP Love Month Jam! ##

Love Month is the month between Valentine's day (Feb 14th) and White Day (March 14th).

Shmup is short for Shoot em' up. It's known by other names, simply as shooter, danmaku だんまく(meaning barrage), bullet hell, and others.

There are many different sub genres from the very casual, to the ultra competitive.

## Criteria ##

As long as the game you make has a bunch of flying projectiles, I'll consider it a shooter. If you're here to make a visual novel, you might be in the wrong place, but again if you're creative enough to make it work, go for it! 😎✨

Because I'll be streaming gameplay NSFW content is not allowed. 

## Collaboration ##

Because this is a month long jam, I have created a Discord Server.

I encourage you to find someone to work with. Also please help each other. If you get stuck, there are people to help. Post it in the Discord.

## Ranking ##

This is a ranked Jam. 

The prize is self satisfaction and the things you learn along the way. Also some bragging rights.

Do play and rank all the games.

Do publish in as many formats as you can.

## Streaming ##

Gameplay will be streamed live on Twitch.

Results of the voting will be streamed a week later.
