Welcome to the 9th AmiGameJam event. AmiGameJam is an Amiga games development contest that has been running since 2009 to help encourage games development for the Amiga community. More information about past AmiGameJam events can be found at this webpage - AmiGameJam History.

Join the official Discord channel for AmiGameJam if you haven't yet already to support the fellow developers, share screenshots of your progress or just have a chat about the jam! If you'd like to support this competition in any way, please let me know how you can help at my email - arcadecammy @ gmail.com

The theme is "SPORTS" where you are invited to make your own Amiga game that ties into the sports theme in some way. Some examples of this include a game where you manage your own sports team like Football Manager or a multi-event sports game like Winter Sports or even Soccer Kid where you kick a soccer ball around.

Feel free to use any programming language or engine you like as long as the final game executable runs on a classic Amiga. Entries need to have been started after the competition's start date which is July 1st, 2026. Submissions can target either OCS/ECS or AGA but you must clearly specify your target system requirements upon submission. There is no limit on team size, so feel free to partner up with pixel artists, musicians, and coders. The final submission entry only needs to have one fully playable level for the judges to look at but the more you can make, the better!

If you are planning on making your game commercial or running a Kickstarter for it, please make sure to have a separate version specifically made for the jam as a free download to ensure the judges and community will be able to vote on your jam submission.

The competition begins on July 1st, 2026 and will close on December 1st, 2026 at 1.00AM GMT. After this date, voting will open to the community to rate each of the games out of 5 stars for around three weeks. As usual, we will be hosting the Live Results Show for the final community results along with the panel of three judges' verdicts on AmigaBill's Twitch channel on a date to be announced later in the year.
