ANNOUNCING – WE BE JAMMIN #11

Another month, another opportunity to build something awesome.

We Be Jammin #11 is officially on the horizon, and I couldn't be more excited to see what this community comes up with next.

Every jam continues to remind me how much talent, creativity, and determination exists in this community. Whether you're a veteran jammer who's been with us since the beginning or someone considering their very first submission, this is your invitation to jump in and make something.

We Be Jammin has never been about perfection.

It's about:

• Building and shipping projects

• Trying new ideas

• Learning through iteration

• Receiving honest, encouraging feedback

• Growing alongside fellow developers

🧠 THEME – “THE SOURCE”

Every story, system, conflict, and discovery has an origin.

A source can be power. A source can be knowledge. A source can be life, corruption, wealth, magic, technology, or truth.

Perhaps your game is about finding it. Protecting it. Exploiting it. Destroying it. Or becoming it.

As always, the interpretation is entirely up to you.

Whether you approach the theme through mechanics, narrative, worldbuilding, or atmosphere, we’re excited to see where your creativity takes it.

Now go find the source.

Duration: 10 Day

SCORING CATEGORIES

Game Loop: How engaging and functional is the core gameplay loop? A strong gameplay loop keeps players wanting to continue interacting with the game.

Theme Interpretation: How creatively and effectively is the theme incorporated into the game? Literal or abstract interpretations are both welcome if they feel intentional and well executed.

Original Concept: How unique does the game feel as an idea? Familiar genres are fine, but standout entries bring a fresh perspective or twist.

Technical Execution: How well does the game function from a technical standpoint? Stability, controls, clarity, and implementation all matter here.

WHAT YOU GET • A live playthrough of your game during the review stream • Personalized feedback across all categories • A spotlight role in the Grimlyte Games Discord for the winner • Experience, iteration, and growth in a supportive development community

I can't wait to see what everyone cooks up this round.

Let's jam.
