Lapsi is a Gujrati sweet made with broken wheat that is cooked in ghee, jaggery, water and dry fruits. It is usually made as an offering to God or during Hindu ceremonies and is also a delicious dessert option for Rakshabandhan

Ingredients:
 • 2 tbsp desi ghee
 • 1/2 cup Dalia/Broken wheat
 • 1/4 cup Mixed dry fruits (almonds, cashews, pistachio)
 • 2/3 cup jaggery
 • 1 tsp cardamom powder
 • 2 cups hot water
 • Saffron for garnish

Method:
 • 1. In a wok add Shive's desi ghee. Once hot, add Dalia and roast it on low flame for 2-3 minutes till slightly golden.
 • 2. Add chopped dry fruits and roast for 2 minutes to enhance the nutty flavour.
 • 3. Add jaggery and cardamom powder and mix well
 • 4. Cook for another 2-3 minutes on low flame till jaggery starts to melt

Ingredients Required:
 • - 2 Cups Jaggery
 • - 1tbsp Water
 • - 1tbsp Ghee
 • - 2 Cups Peanuts

Tip: cook jaggery on low flame & do water test, to check if it has come to right consistency.

Keep a bowl of water & carefully drop jaggery droplets (while cooking) to check if it's breaking like glass.
 • (Do test after cooking for atleast 15mins)
