Ingredients

for the boondi

1 cup gram flour (besan)
 • pinch of salt
 • 1/4 teapoon baking soda
 • food color (I used gel food color and you need to add little by little to get the color you are looking for)
 • 1/2 cup water (you might need more to make a smooth free flow batter)
 • enough oil to fry the boondi

for the syrup

1 cup white granulated sugar
 • 3/4 cup water
 • pinch of saffron
 • 4 green cardamoms
 • 4 cloves

Khara boondi recipe

Do try it once!!

Firstly take a mixing bowl and add 1 cup gram flour and 1 cup water in it. Mix it well. Now add a pinch of food colour, meetha soda and salt in it. Mix them well and keep it aside for 5 minutes. Now heat a pan with oil. Now slowly add the batter in hot oil using the spatula as shown above. Now deep fry on low flame for 2 minutes. Strain them and make your perfect boondi ka raita with it. Enjoy

Here’s how you make this comforting boondi Kadhi at home ☺️

Ingredients : 

Besan - 1/4th Cup

Curd - 1 Cup

Water - 1 Cup

Salt - 1 Tsp

Haldi - 1/2 Tsp

Oil - 1 Tbsp

Jeera - 1 Tsp

Mustard Seeds - 1/2 Tsp

Cloves - 3 nos

Fenugreek Seeds - 1/4th Tsp

Hing - A pinch

Cinnamon - 1/4th Stick

Chilly Ginger Paste - 1 Tbsp

Coriander leaves - 2 Tbsps

Boondi - 1/2 Cup

Ghee - 1 Tbsp

Red Chillies - 2 nos 

Hing - A pinch

Curry Leaves - 5-6 nos
