When I’m not working as a Lead Cybersecurity Architect, I’m:

  • Studying for the (ISC)² ISSAP certification Passed — Earned ISSAP in January 2026.
  • Planning CSA CCZT and CSA TAISE for later in 2026.
  • Refining a lightweight, minimalist, and IndieWeb-friendly WordPress theme.
  • Tinkering with an ESP32-based temperature and humidity monitor as a warm-up project before tackling more complex IoT designs.

Recently, I’ve been reflecting on how good architecture is invisible — you only notice it when it’s missing.

Recommended book: Neuromancer by William Gibson — The story follows Case, a washed‑up hacker hired for a final job that pulls him into a labyrinth of artificial intelligences, corporate power, and a gritty, networked future where human agency is always at risk. I first read it just after graduating from the University of Michigan (C’94), where I studied Electrical Engineering Systems and Information Theory. It shaped how I think about networks, entropy, and the uneasy relationship between technology and human intent — a perspective that still influences my work today.
