Honestly? My main piece of advice for writing well-rounded characters is to make them a little bit lame. No real living person is 100% cool and suave 100% of the time. Everyone's a little awkward sometimes, or gets too excited about something goofy, or has a silly fear, or laughs about stupid things. Being a bit of a loser is an incurable part of the human condition. Utilize that in your writing.

TL;DR: You ever meet bae, but bae doesn't know that they're bae, and they have their own bae when they're supposed to be your bae, so you have to go after the other bae so that you can be their new, main, and forever bae? Did I mention that we were bae in this scenario? I'd imagine that'd be a little more than just inconvenient...

Devlog #187

Hi-ho, Wudge here.

I've FINISHED updating the code for Griffin's driving CG, the fem version is now complete with brows and lipstick.

Shout-out to @husbandogoddess for helping me out with my blush code, along with a whole host of expressions! I'm not sure why I had trouble with the blush code before (I had to separately declare blushes as their own image every time??), but it's now properly integrated into layeredimage sprites and CGs. For example,

You may be thinking, wow, Wudge is posting a lot of Griffin progress lately. This is because, tadah:

I've largely finished writing and coding Griffin's "freetime" scene (in which you spend 1x1 time together).

Each character's freetime scene has 3 sections which can each vary in length, but I'm hoping the sum total of the scenes will equal out.

Warden and Mia will be getting their own driving CGs.. once I.... decide what they're gonna wear.... I guess Mia at least should be wearing her hero outfit for the most part, but with Warden it's hard to know if he's gonna be wearing the hero outfit or his gym casual sporty clothes. Maybe it's worth doing both for him? <_<
