When it comes to the new wave of junglists in the UK, producer and DJ Nectax has been at the forefront of the movement. Fresh off his DJ Mag nomination for Breakthrough Producer in 2024, along with being named one of Mixmag’s Breakthrough DJs of the Year, Nectax has been
co-signed by artists like Tim Reaper and DJ Flight, alongside SHERELLE and NAINA blasting out Nectax’s forthcoming release in radio sets and DJ sets around the globe.

As genres become more fluid, producers tend to step out of the sonic boundaries set in the past. Enter: Nectax. A name which has demanded the scene's attention with his astounding ability to integrate adjacent genres in new refreshing ways, pushing the future focussed ethos of
junglism to its limits. As a solo artist, and as one third of Newcastle based club night and label STERE0 45, Nectax stands bold with his experimental production, pushing the boundaries of breakbeat and proving his experimentation knows no limits.

His latest EP offering ‘Raytracer’ highlights his shapeshifting production abilities across three tracks with nods to jungle, footwork and techno. Nectax has mastered the ability to jump across different soundscapes without drifting too far from his signature style, making it undeniably
Nectax through and through - a skill in itself. The EP also brings in fellow Newcastle native melba on collaborative track Relay. The end result highlights why Nectax has become one of the most exciting and in demand producers in the UK. Hooversound are proud to present Nectax's ‘Raytracer’ EP June 2025.

On the EP, Nectax said “This is the first body of work of mine which doesn't feature a breakbeat as the backbone of any of the tracks, yet I think it still feels familiar & accessible to a Jungle head in the same way in which I hope it might to a Techno head. It's a bit of a melting pot of UK/US influenced club sounds, grounded at the ever-reliable 160BPM mark.”
