DAL/Node: emit events for store cleanup

What

• optimize a bit the store clean-up function
• emit an event when starting to clean-up, and then once every 1000 levels

Why

If the last processed level is very far in the past the node takes a lot of time to clean-up the store, while there is no output. In this way at least we know where it spends its time.
