Draft: Add transition onboarding template

This MR adds an issue template to help onboard UX Department members that are transitioning to a new team.

This template includes:

  • Detailed onboarding plan (first week, first 3 months)
  • Onboarding task, assigned by the manager (optional)
  • Team member, manager, and onboarding buddy tasks

By creating an onboarding issue for team transitions, managers can track their report’s progress, set clear learning objectives, and see if they need more support.

I have used a similar transition/onboarding format for Emily Bauman and Sunjung Park, and received positive feedback. Designers mentioned that having an onboarding plan during their transitioned helped set them up for success, and gave them a clear idea of what they’re expected to do. They also mentioned that having a single issue they could refer back to during the transition to a new team facilitated the onboarding, as it provided them with a document they could go to for answers.

Needless to say, this proposal is open to feedback. The content presented is based on my team’s experience.

My proposal is that we use this template as a generic transition plan for anyone in the UX department that is transitioning to a new team within the same role (this does not replace the career mobility process). I can later follow up with an MR to document it in the handbook.
