Getting settled

Hi, it's been a while. I have not done anything interesting lately. We've been getting settled in our new home! I've been walking and biking more than ever. Since we got rid of the car my cardio has been trending upward. Can even feel myself getting fitter. We're enjoying the conviences a city offers and regret not moving earlier.

Smarthome

Pretty excited about my new smart-home setup. It'll be completely local. No reliance on third-parties, no vendor-lockin. I'm even skipping Home Assistant for now! 😲 This time, I'll try to be as minimal as possible. Purchasing things that I actually have a use-case for. Instead of buying something and then going out to find a solution for it.

Reading

You should see my YouTube feed. It's chock full about how we have lost the art of reading. And I kind of agree. I am teaching myself to read again. I got some project Gutenberg books stored on my Hetzner Storage Box. Then, I add the files to my Boox Go 10.3 with WebDAV. It works well.
