[go: up one dir, main page]

Open doors, furniture and boxes strewn about. You are constantly moving in or moving out.

This game was developed in the houses of good friends who graciously lent me their beds, in a continent that I only started living in a month ago.

The audio is sourced from my archive of recordings in various locations throughout the past year. In a friend's house, at a bar, or my grandparents' home, all places that made me want to capture its sound.

Created for the open call to the first issue of Game Poems Magazine to the theme "first moves."

Thank you for making this game, a very nice, small experience about an endless home :)

really lovely and beautiful!

walking into a 1x1 room immediately reminded of my actualy home to me

Here before actually playing, but I think this game will be really interesting!

very creative, i like it :D

thanks for letting me imagine with you, what it would be like to live in these places :>

loved the various implications from each of these little spaces and their relationality -- this would make an excellent exhibition piece, I could really imagine it projected onto a gallery wall or something like that!

Seconding this. These kinds of open ended poetic experiences you can spend as little or as much time as you want in are ideal for that setting. This was a beautiful little game, thank you for sharing it!

As an internally displaced person who has changed their home something like 10 times over the last 3 years, I found this game to be profoundly beautiful and sad. It is sad to leave each time, knowing that you will not be able to come back the same way you came. But it is also somewhat reassuring to know that after each new door, a new place awaits you, that you can call home.

Thank you for sharing this experience with us!

Great

This made me feel a big urge to go outside - Is there an end to this game?
Nice poetry game here - shoutouts to the various field recordings.

But it was more like the room passed through you
Like there was a leash around your neck that pulled you through?"

Wow this was lovely, knowing the background context and adding the ambient sounds really add so much.  I loved going through and finding the little pieces of dialog

oh really beautiful quewon! made me a bit emotional as someone who has lived in way too many places and been shaped by all of them. i must start scanning all the places ive ever lived so i can rebuild them...

thank you computer james it means a lot that this feeling is shared :) speaking of scanning, do you know about the restroom archive? it's a very specific kind of place archive that i enjoyed perusing

Interesting.
