Given the user name it’s more likely a joke made about right wing nut jobs then a right wing nut job. It is so hard to tell with that group though because the right wing extremists have little self awareness and don’t realize when they have reached self parody.

Joseph McCarthy had infinitely more power to do the same and look what happened to him: he died a pickled irrelevance when it ultimately blew up in his own face.

After that, a certain someone said of that thing ‘McCarthyism was now McCarthyWASm’. That which was wiped out by he who simply let it have enought political rope in which to hang itself. A stroke of tactical genius that was almost military in scope: let the enemy destroy itself by doing precisely nothing.

That’s why - to use said someone’s slogan in a campaign which ensured said someone was elected twice - I Like Ike.

That’s right: Dwight D. Eisenhower. Supreme Commander of the Allies in Europe during WWII who ultimately reached the absolute pinnacle of human ambition: President of the United States. As opposed to ‘Tailgunner Joe’: the laughingstock of the US Marines.
