I love making my crossbow into a railgun with reaper rounds. and then at the end Ill put bounce on there since Im surrounded and my bullets never stop.
crossbow is also op with upgrades that add more bullets
splinter is really op with fire or magic dagger

For those struggling, here is my build
My build was: Flamethrower weapon + Diamond character + Splinter upgrade
Flamethrower + Splinter is much more effective late game (2:00) than other weapons, because Flamethrower does area of attack, travels slower, and has a timer, which distributes the splinter spread more, making the chain reaction less likely to go out.
The fire heal upgrade (or whatever it is called) heals you in 15-30 seconds, but you need a high HP character to take advantage of that. I was offered fire heal only after the boss fight area disappeared, so I needed the extra HP to get through the boss fight. I then healed
Early game with flamethrower is weak, as it deals very little damage, and I was level 10 when I went into 5:00. However, you don’t actually need to shoot the flamethrower. I upgraded Movement Speed + Splinter + Lightning bug + Freeze, and focused on dodging.
The kills from the Lightning bug spawned flamethrower bullets which did the main killing, later it counted towards the fire healing.
You could say I got lucky with the upgrades. (PS: the last 6 upgrades were made after 2:00 when Splinter was doing all the work.)
The graphics are great. The game balance is good. It was fun.
Really REALLY wants to be fullscreen. Played a total of 5 seconds before stopping because of that.
ya know there's fullscreen on the crazy games port :> (it not perfect but it gets the job done)
No, I mean that THIS port seems to DEMAND to be fullscreen, regardless of settings and such.

This game is amazing and The Shana character kinda looks like Mikasa from AOT
didnt think this would be my kinda game but i had to force myself to stop playing so i dont get carpal tunnel
This game is fun. Really, if you like survival games - give it a try. I managed to survive after around 6 tries, but they were not very easy. So game does not require you to be pro - just play it and find your own way of wining it.
How much damage does the dear take before defeating?
it has 2500 health
I really like this game because of the art, upgrades, gameplay, characters, and pretty much everything. The only things I didn't like was that there wasn't a button for fullscreen, there wasn't an button to shoot and you had to use mouse/trackpad, no way of pausing, and the flamethrower was WAY better than the other weapons. ( I hope this doesn't seem too nitpicky)

yeah splinter + flamethrower is INSANE
its also nice to have double bullets, bounce and anything that improves fire rate.

Beat the game, I was fiending for my life at the end tho, I saw a bunch of guys spawn, I just started running, dodging the second boss like a god-damn matador, I had a very weak build in terms of damage, so I just went god mode sprint and won while level 11 only, on 1 heart, I ran the entire ending on one heart, sometimes with the holy shield, should've filmed it, it would have been an insane action film sequence, I was just passing the lines of enemies, scraping past them, shield busted 30 seconds before winning, and the screen went up in flames, 10/10so stressful it was my week's physical activity, would not do it again.
how do you beat it? im too lazy to read that gang

I typically go with a bunch of flame damage, really good for clearing enemies and not having to focus on the boss, usually works best with splinter and some bounce

idk its the same for me too but you can change the mapping in settings
As someone who is not big into the bullet hell genre of rogue-likes, i will say, this game is a breath of fresh air. It had the perfect amount of difficulty and replayabilty imo.
I played the game almost 2-3 hours last night. was able to unlock every unlockable on this version, and ended up beating the game with 2 of the unlockable characters.
I love the fact that you arent forced into one certain playstyle, and that attracted me. Not to mention the artstyle of the game is top tier.
solid 6.5/10 game imo.

It appears this demo is another one of those 'steam wishlist' games, for when the commercial game is out, there won't be upload any full seperate version for purchase here on itch.
The game has been on steam since June 9th, 2022. There's no chance of it being available. Not everyone wants (or is able) to use Steam; but also, developers quite resonably don't want users having access to source code to something that should earn them money. Something Steam's DRM protects.
Hopefully the developer might decide to eventually upload a full (paid) version to itch if sales on Steam taper off.

The I managed to find https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/20-minutes-till-dawn-be3305, however the deal you mentioned wasn't available. Not that I wanted anything for free, I simply wanted to pay to buy this here on itch.
Interesting to see how I ended up downvoted when I pointed out some pretty obvious things without any entitled expectation.
I don't see why devs who publish demos / early versions / experiments here should publish the full version here as well. Perhaps they just want some feedback from people here and they just like publishing it to the bigger platforms better. If you don't like Steam or Epic, then, well, bad luck.
So I don't see this is as "however", it's just a matter of choice, as it's matter of choice where you get your games from.
You can steal source code on itch.io. steam and epic protect against that.
