Google sign in button crashes

Whenever I use the sign in button for google (such as the one shown)
my browser itself crashes. I tried this on Google Chrome and Edge browsers and they worked. Google Chrome opens the sign in on a popup window while Edge opens it on a new tab, why does it crash on Opera?
