I created an MR for our (effectively) main branch. Then I decided that other work should go in first, so I created another MR branched from the same place.
I’d like to go ahead and adapt the code in MR#1 to lean on MR#2, so I am tempted to rebase MR#1 onto the last commit of MR#2. But I am concerned that gitlab will just see the commits as the successors of the MR#2 commits, and include them in MR#2. Does this work? Is there, in other words, a clean way to specify that one MR should be a successor of another?
